Yesterday's talk went well. The TPM group was awesome. I did some sloppy video recording: it only captured 5 talks or so and I was partially out of the frame for my talk.

Download the slides in pdf format here (0.5MB). The second slide is the screencast. Download it here. Note that it's a divx file (1.5MB).

I'm planning to make the source code available soon.

Tomorrow (thursday) I'm doing a lightning talk at the Toronto Perl Mongers. The title is "Consolidating Online Banking using Perl and AJAX". Should be about 5 minutes. I've done my slides using Keynote 4.0 (from iWork 08). Not having ever used Keynote before, I found it a breeze to learn. I've even got an animated slide.

Anyway, here's the lineup for the TPM lightning:

Ilia: Consolidating Online Banking using Perl and AJAX
Olaf Alders: Parsing UserAgent Strings
Olaf Alders: URI::ParseSearchString::More
Alan Rocker: Egg-sucking for Seniors
Eric Bower: A USB-powered Digital Storage Oscilloscope
James.Q.L: Customized Form Error Message using Data::FormValidator
James.Q.L: Perl Application Deployment
Jim Harris: From Logs to Locks
Michael Graham: Use a Web-based Proxy to Foil Cybercafe Keyloggers

Location: 2 Bloor Street West, 12th floor, classroom 5
Time: 6:30 pm
